Development
of new technology has made eye surgery more safe and predictable,
and dramatically decreased the recovery time from ocular surgery.
Ongoing research activity ensures that our patients receive state
of the art eye care. Dr. Price founded the
Cornea
Research Foundation of America, which houses the largest ongoing
database for cornea transplantation in the Western Hemisphere.

Current
activities include implantation of special plastic rings to stabilize
intraocular lens implants in damaged eyes, artificial irises for
traumatized eyes, glaucoma devices, and medical therapy for dry
eyes. We are also investigating new techniques for surgically correcting
keratoconus with IntacsTM intracorneal ring segments, as well
as lamellar transplants of the cornea to improve safety and predictability.
